Biggleswade Food Bank

Tins and packets of Food

Biggleswade food bank was set up by members of Biggleswade Baptist Church in 2009 to help local people who find themselves in financial crises.

To obtain a food parcel you need to have referral from a local support agency such as the Citizen’s Advice Centre, a social worker, health visitor, tenancy support officer or the local welfare provision team at Central Bedfordshire Council.

If you would like to donate to the food bank we have community collection points at the Asda supermarket in Church Street and the Sainsbury’s supermarkets in Bells Brook and on the King’s Reach estate. Otherwise please call the food bank on 07511 367066. We gratefully receive donations of food items with long ‘best before end’ dates, especially long life milk, tinned fruit, tinned vegetables, and tinned meat products such as mince, chilli, curry and stew.

During the Covid-19 crisis we are busier than usual and more than ever relying on the generous donations from our community. We are also accepting financial  donations, please ring the food bank mobile for further information.

A huge ‘thank you’ to everyone for helping us to support those in need in our community.
